The Inruut Food Guide

Hair growth starts at the root. But the root is your body.

Begin the guide
The root-first philosophy

This is a lifestyle, not a diet.

Hair does not operate independently. It reflects the nourishment, health and daily patterns of the whole person. That is why Inruut goes beyond surface-level fixes and supports the foundation from the root outward.

The aim is not perfection or a miracle menu. It is to make simple choices more often, use supplements intentionally and create a routine you can maintain.

The Inruut system

One box. Five connected layers.

The Food Guide supports the same system that shapes the box.

01

Nourish

Build the everyday foundation with varied whole foods and targeted support only when it has a clear purpose.

02

Balance

Consider stress, health history, life stage and internal factors without pretending one food or herb can diagnose or correct them.

03

Root

Keep the scalp environment comfortable and use topical products according to their instructions.

04

Stimulate

Treat tools and active topical practices as optional, not automatic. Stop if the scalp becomes irritated.

05

Ritual

Use a simple routine long enough to understand how it fits, then review rather than endlessly adding more.

The purpose of supplements

Use them with intention.

Supplements aren't about adding more. They're about using the right support, for the right reason, at the right time. Each supplement in your Inruut system should have a clear purpose—and more is not automatically better.

  • Know why you're taking each ingredient.
  • Follow the recommended amount and duration.
  • Be aware of medications and potential interactions.
  • Stop and seek guidance if something doesn't feel right.
Balance the plate

A simple framework, not a rigid equation.

Build meals around protein, plants or quality carbohydrates, and fats that support satisfaction. The exact balance can change with appetite, activity, health needs and professional advice.

Food guidelines

Eat simply. Eat intentionally. Eat like a farmer.

01

Start with real food

Start with real, recognizable foods. When you do choose something packaged, read the ingredients. Keep it simple and pay attention to hidden seed oils and unnecessary additives.

  • Cook with stable fats: grass-fed butter, ghee, tallow, coconut oil, and avocado oil.
  • Seasonal vegetables and fruit
  • Eggs, fish, legumes, meat or another protein that fits you
  • Minimally processed grains and starches
  • Quality dairy (aged cheeses) when it works for you
  • Pickled foods - onions, pickles, sauerkraut helps deliver the best natural probiotics in whole food form
02

Choose carbohydrates that work for you

Keep carbohydrates simple and choose quality over processing. Potatoes, rice, sourdough and minimally processed grains can all have a place. For bread and pasta, look for simple ingredients, minimal fillers and options that feel good in your body.

  • Choose sourdough from a good local bakery
  • Keep rice and potatoes simple
  • Try quinoa, chickpea, lentil or rice pastas
  • Favor simple ingredients and minimal fillers
03

Find nutrients in the meal

Nutrients are best supported through real, nutrient-dense foods. Build meals around quality proteins, healthy fats and whole-food sources of vitamins and minerals that support the body and healthy hair.

  • Include grass-fed red meat regularly
  • Add wild fish like sardines for omega-3s
  • Include quality cheeses and fermented foods
  • Add collagen to coffee, tea or soups

Water is foundational

Make hydration easy to repeat.

Water is foundational. Prioritize clean drinking water throughout the day. If your water quality could be better, consider a high-quality filtration system suited to your local water supply. It's a simple upgrade to your everyday environment.

Use the guide with context

Natural does not mean risk-free.

Choose pasteurized dairy.Raw milk can carry harmful germs; pasteurization provides the nutritional benefits of dairy with substantially lower infection risk.

Do not force a scalp tool.Avoid microneedling on irritated, infected or healing skin. At-home use can cause irritation, infection or scarring and should be discussed with a dermatologist.

Check supplement interactions.Vitamins, minerals and herbs can interact with prescription medicines and may be harmful at high doses.

Keep building the foundation

Stay present. Focus on the process.

The goal is not to force a result. It is to support the body, protect the hair you have and build a routine that can be reviewed honestly over time.
